Solar Eclipse

Writer: Joshua WebbJoshua Webb

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

On Monday, August 21st there was a total solar eclipse visible across fourteen states. A partial solar eclipse was visible across the entire contiguous U.S. and much of North America. With one of the best viewing areas passing right overhead, I couldn't miss the opportunity to document the occasion.

The moon passing in front of the sun during totality.

Here I made a composite of the progressing phases of the eclipse.

The sun partially occluded by the moon.

A lot of preparation went into capturing the totality event which lasted less than three minutes.

The next total solar eclipse visible in the U.S. will be on April 8th 2024. Click HERE for more information on the next total solar eclipse.
