Habitat for Humanity

Writer: Joshua WebbJoshua Webb

During my time with "Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville" I was privileged to document the hard work, dedication, charity, and gratitude involved in providing housing to under privileged families.

Many people, including the home owners, volunteer the manual labor required for the construction of new homes.

People unfamiliar with the program may not realize the homeowner is responsible for much of the cost of their new home and must qualify for a mortgage to meet the criteria of the program.

It takes a team to make it all work.

Sometimes the whole community turns out to take part in the event.

Seeing the gratitude when people take possession of their new home never gets old.
